Frequently Asked Questions

  • How do I contact you?  Go to my Home page where you will find the "Contact Me" form.
  • What is your timeline for a 32-page picture book?  A typical illustration project takes 3–4 months to complete. Every project is unique, which means both the timeline and the price can vary. I’ll be able to give you more accurate information once I read the manuscript and the illustration notes.
  • What is the pay structure for a picture book? Once a contract is signed, I require a 50% deposit.  25% is due after you approve the rough drafts and the final installment is required when the final illustrations have been approved.
  • Do you AI (Artificial Intelligence) or Clip Art? The short answer is: Absolutely not. I am committed to 100% genuine, hand-crafted illustration. With 6+ years of experience, I guarantee that my technique contains no AI-generated content or stock clipart. You are investing in authentic, reliable artistry for your children's book.
  • Do you provide formatting for picture books?  No, not at this time, but I have an amazing referral I can give you.
  • Do you accept commissioned projects?   Yes, I do.  You may use the "Contact Me" form on my Home page to inquire  or email me along with any images to [email protected].  Keep in mind my style of painting, for example.  I do not paint realistic portraits.  My style is whimsical and impressionistic.  Please advise in your initial contact, the approximate size of your space.  I will reply with general questions and price approximations.  A deposit will be required once we have determined a few details.
  • What are your payment terms?  I accept all credit cards, Venmo and Paypal transactions.  Cash or checks are accepted with local pick-ups.
  • Do you have a return policy?  Unfortunately, there is the possibility that an original can be copied and reproduced, so I do not accept returns.  For commissioned pieces, depending on the subject matter and customization, you will normally receive a rough draft of your request before the final piece is painted.
  • What shipping options do you offer?  Smaller pieces are sent via the United Postal Service while larger pieces ship via FedEx.
  • Do You ship outside of the USA?  Not at this time.
  • Do you accept visitors to your studio?  Not at this time.
  • Do you teach workshops and classes?  Yes, I am available for workshops and classes. Please contact me for further details.
  • How do you structure your painting prices?  My work is very intuitive, so pricing is determined by the size and quality of the materials and the time spent to create the final piece.
  • Have a question that you don't see addressed here?  Please visit my Home page and fill out the "Contact Me" form.
